Size Chart

Find your size

Sizing is not the same across brands. The most reliable way to buy shoes online is to measure your foot in centimetres, then read across to the brand you want. Everything below is keyed to foot length, not to the size you usually wear.

Measure your foot

1PrepareLate afternoon is best, feet swell during the day. Wear the socks you will run or walk in. Put a sheet of paper against a wall.
2OutlineStand on the paper with your heel to the wall, weight on the foot. Hold the pen upright, not angled, and trace around the foot.
3MeasureMeasure from the wall edge to the tip of your longest toe. Do both feet and use the larger number.
Then add room at the front.
  • Running: add 0.5–1.0 cm to your measured length. Feet swell and slide forward on descents.
  • Walking and everyday wear: add 0.5 cm.
  • Feet are rarely the same size. Always fit the larger foot.
  • If you are between sizes, go up. A slightly loose shoe can be laced tighter; a short one cannot be fixed.

Compare all brands

Find your foot length in the first column, then read across. These are the manufacturers' own conversions.

Your row will be highlighted in the tables below.
Foot length Asics US Brooks US On US Hoka US EU (approx)

Asics runs about half a size small at the top of the range: at 28.5 cm Asics lists US 11 where the other three list US 10.5. If you wear US 10.5 in Brooks, On or Hoka, order US 11 in Asics.

Questions we get a lot

I am between two sizes. Which do I pick?Go up. Lacing can take up a little extra length, but a shoe that is too short will bruise your toenails on every descent.
Do I order my usual size across brands? No. That is the single most common cause of a return. Measure once in centimetres, then read across the table for the brand you are buying.
I have wide feet.Foot length is only half the picture. Trail models tend to be snugger through the midfoot than road models. If your feet are wide, consider going up half a size, and email us before ordering so we can point you to the roomier models.
The shoe does not fit. What now?You have 30 days from delivery to return it. Try shoes on indoors on a clean carpet, and keep the box undamaged. Return postage is paid by the customer.
Still not sure?

Email your measured foot length in centimetres and the model you are looking at to service@barewalking.com. We reply within 2 business days and would much rather help you get it right the first time than process a return.
